Thank you to everyone that helped support our cleanup dive on September 28th, 2024!
Our dedicated team of instructors, volunteers, medical professionals, and marine biologists are chosen for their knowledge and background as it pertains to scuba diving and preservation of natural marine environments. We pride ourselves on providing extensive training to our staff and volunteers on the safe removal of trash found in the ocean and coastal waterways without harming marine life or displacing them from an artificial habitat.
We also provide learning opportunities for those in our community that would benefit from involvement in environmental restorative efforts while at the same time being restorative and educational for themselves. Our program participants include individuals from foster care, transitional organizations, and restorative justice programs, as well as those with disabilities and those who come from under-resourced backgrounds. Participants will be provided training and equipment and after successful completion of an open water scuba certification course, will join our cleanup crew in the removal of underwater refuse. Scuba diving is an immersive experience by nature and requires courage, commitment, and consistency. At the same time it fosters a lifestyle focused on values of dedication, humanitarianism, altruism, and environmental justice.
